Indie Music Women’s Featured Artist of the Day is…
Ketsyha (@ketsyha)
Writing and singing music since 2005, Ketsyha is a Puerto Rican-born R&B/Funk/Gospel singer in the style of Alicia Keys, Emeli Sandé, and John Legend. Her music is about uplifting messages of self-worth, hope, and love. Growing up surrounded by music, Ketsyha’s career was focused on Music Education as a voice and music theory teacher. But after the 2017 hurricane that devastated Puerto Rico, Ketsyha reevaluated what is most important to her life.
Shortly after, she moved to Los Angeles, earned a Certificate in Musicians Institute in Hollywood, and recorded her songs to be released in 2020.

Ketsyha shared with me what it means to her to be an indie music woman artist:
“Right now I am at my best moment as an artist. Recently I earned a certificate in Hollywood, where I learned to produce, mix, and master my own music. As a woman in the music industry, I’ve received incredible support from my male peers who haven’t doubt about my capabilities and I am very grateful for that. I would like to be an inspiration for other women to be producers, composers, and audio engineers.”
You can hear Ketsyha’s single, “Move On” on the Indie Music Women’s Spotify Playlist.
