NAJUAH’s music has been played on Canadian radio, MTV, Much Music, and we have performed at Canadian Music Week (CMW), North by Northeast (NXNE) and the Billboard Black Entertainment Television (BET) awards show conference in New York. They have also worked with and toured with many great musicians. They collaborated on a song with the Surplus Sons, aka No Warning, called “Step Stones” that was featured on the television show Degrassi. NAJUAH’s song “I Don’t Want to Love You” was featured on Teletoon and Fresh TV’s Stoked.
They have toured and opened for bands including Surplus Sons/No Warning, AFI, Mobile, International Noise Conspiracy, Sloan, Die Mannequin, The New Cities, and the Arkells. We have worked with incredible musicians: Bill Bell (Jason Mraz, Justin Nozuka); Donovan Jarvis (Young Thug, Musiq Soulchild, Chris Brown), Grammy Award-winning Gary Noble (Amy Winehouse); Grammy Award-winning Emily Lazar (Foo Fighters, SIA); Stephen Perkins (Jane’s Addiction, Nine Inch Nails); Greig Nori (Treble Charger, SUM 41), Paul David Hager (Miley Cyrus, Goo Goo Dolls); Fingazz (Flo Rida, Beyonce, Karl Wolf, Gwen Stefani); Joa Carvalho (fun., Smashing Pumpkins, Mobb Deep); just to name a few.
“We hope together with you, we can push the limits and live the many possibilities that this life can gift you with. We will wander until we get there. We will wander with you until you feel the magic that this life has to offer.” – Hanifa & Juliet

Najuah shared with me what it means to them to be indie music women artists:
“Supporting women in the music business is really important to us. In an industry where there are few women who hold executive positions, where men dominate every area of the music industry. It’s important for women to support each other and not work against each other.”
You can hear Najuah’s single, Red Light, on the Indie Music Women Spotify Playlist.
