Indie Music Women’s Artist of the Day is…

“Music has been a passion of mine for most of my life. I adore writing and singing music. So I do just that as often as I can. For me, music is a go to, whether things are going well or not so well, I can count on it. I recently decided I wanted to share my music and I’m doing just that. I’m enjoying it.” – Toy

Toy shared with me what it means to her to be an indie music woman artist:

“It would mean to me that my music is real music. I write a lot on experiences, things that I have gone through personally or someone close to me. This is the first song that I decided to share or distribute for everyone to have a listen to. I want this song to be liked so if I became an indie music woman artist then maybe someone can relate to this song which is getting rid of negativity/hardships and pressing forward towards a new day – new life.”

About Linda Garnett

Linda Garnett brings a diverse background in the arts to the field of music research and writing. Starting with a mentorship at radio station KFRC in San Francisco, she went on to acquire a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication and an Associate of Arts degree in Music Technology. She has earned a Digidesign operator certificate in Pro Tools post production. Linda is also a published music writer with works appearing in on-line publications such as the Legends of Rock “The ROCKIN’ NEWS”. With exemplary research skills and numerous connections in the music industry, Linda penetrates the veneer of populist opinion to illuminate deeper insights.
