Lexi Lemonade is a Jamaican-American Singer and Songwriter based out of New Jersey. The soothing vocals and eclectic sounds of Lexi Lemonade is one reminiscent of a tall glass of Strawberry Lemonade with a touch of vodka. It’s sweet, it’s intoxicating, fulfilling, yet always leaving you wanting more.
Born in New York & raised in South Florida, it was no doubt that Lexi would be introduced to an eclectic mix of music —- ranging from Reggae & Dancehall, Neo-Soul, Jazz, R&B, Rock and Pop. Lexi was first introduced to her love of music as a young child where she would often sing karaoke alongside her father and later would join the choir throughout middle and high school.
While enrolled in college, Lexi found inspiration out of a necessity to create and began producing demos out of her bedroom. This led to her finding passion in music and developing herself into the artist she is today.
On April 17th, Lexi released her self-produced alt-pop dance track “Drip” where magic, confidence, and passion coexist in perfect harmony.
Lexi shared with me what it means to her personally to be an indie music woman artist:
“To be an indie music woman artist is an honor in this day and age! Growing up I used to look up to women in music such as Sade, Aaliyah, Beyonce, Christina Aguilera, and more and would dream about being able to experience the life of a female musician and share my art with the world. Now, we have the power to create our own reality — regardless of our current circumstances and take up space in a world which once seemed impossible.”
