A musician friend recently asked me…
Have you seen any inventive ways artists are doing releases during this quarantine?

They showed their vulnerability, their hearts, and passion.

“Katherine Hannan: to her nurses” Written by Angela Sclafani, it’s performed by Hannah Corneau in honor of National Nurses Week. The video is part of the Passion Project: Love Songs from Women to Their Work.
Ellen McNeill – “To All My Friends”
Ellen wrote a song about missing everything in quarantine. Over the month of April, she and her brother created a music video project with family and friends. The end result was 131 people from across 7 continents coming together in a 4-minute zoom video call.
Stephanie Ryann- “For A Reason”
Stephanie shot the video on her own with her iPhone and used a few video editing apps. The result is a beautiful location, with a simple but moving concept, and it looks professionally shot.
London musician and producer Rookes created a YouTube series called Pop Not Pop. She discusses in under 10-minute videos, the tracks of her new forthcoming album. Rookes is refreshingly honest and funny as she dissects the songs.
